A seventh grade basketball game was my debut as a cheerleader. I joined cheerleading with my two best friends, Anne Marie and Christina. I liked it so much that as I grew up, I practiced my butt off until I worked my way up to being captain of my high school cheerleading team. (Yay me!)
We were known as the Blue Dragons (let's just say that the team name was not my favorite part of cheerleading) and though some things sucked, like when Anne Marie and Christina did not continue high school cheerleading with me, it was okay because I had that cheerleader's spirit.
Unfortunately, I let this "spirit" get the best of me on a day I would never forget... |
