We have monthly meetings where we all brainstorm ideas for the new issue, as well as stories we may want to write. We usually come up with a theme or central idea then create stories from there. Our editor Lucinda orchestrates the meetings and keeps us on track. (With ten teenagers in a room together talking about sex, it's easy to get off topic!)
Many of the walls in the office are painted to serve as dry-erase boards, so you can see some of our ideas written out on the wall behind me. Once we decide what we want to write about or who we want to interview, we receive our story assignments.
